Concurrent Enrollment

Dual/Concurrent Enrollment at Frontier Academy

Frontier Academy is proud to partner with Aims Community College (Aims) and the University of Northern Colorado (UNC) to offer dual/concurrent enrollment courses on Frontier’s campus, on the college campus, or online.

Here are some important facts about concurrent enrollment at Frontier:

  • Concurrent enrollment allows students to receive both high school and college credits simultaneously.
  • Frontier Academy covers the tuition for these courses, while families are responsible for fees and materials.
  • Tuition will be paid by Frontier only when courses are completed with a letter grade of “C” or higher.

Courses Offered on Frontier’s Campus:

  • English Composition (ENG122) and College Research Paper (ENG123) through UNC
  • U.S. History up to Reconstruction (HIS1210) and U.S. History since Civil War (HIS1220) through Aims
  • College Algebra (MAT1340) and College Trigonometry (MAT1420) through Aims
  • Introduction to Business (BUS1015), Business Communication (BUS2017), and Intro to E-Commerce (BUS1020) through Aims
  • Music Appreciation (MUS1020) and History of Jazz (MUS1025) through Aims
  • German Language III and IV through Aims

In addition to these, Frontier Academy offers a variety of courses through Aims and UNC, both online and on their college campuses. These courses can be guaranteed transfers for associate or bachelor’s degrees, career and vocational education courses, or personal interest courses.

For more information, please reach out to the counseling department. We can help start the application process and get your student enrolled in concurrent coursework while still in high school.

This opportunity is available to both our Monday-Thursday student population and our Friday Homeschool Access students. While Friday Homeschool Access students are not eligible for Monday-Thursday courses at Frontier, they can still register for classes through Aims or UNC.
