West Greeley Conservation District Scholarship

Application Form

The West Greeley Conservation District Scholarship has been established for educational assistance to recognize and support local students pursuing a career in a Natural Resources or Agricultural field. Three $1,000 scholarships and one$2500 scholarship will be awarded each year.

The scholarships are available to high school seniors who are accepted or enrolled in an accredited Colorado institute of higher learning, majoring in a natural resources or agricultural field, and have at least a 2.7 GPA (on a 4.0 scale). Applicant must have a home address within the boundaries of the West Greeley Conservation District and the home address must currently be on the District's tax roll. Contact the District to see if you meet the criteria if you don't know your eligibility.

Union Colony Exchange Club Health Care Careers Scholarship

This scholarship was established in 2014 by the Greeley Union Colony Exchange Club to give aid to students seeking an education in the health care careers. It has been established in an attempt to aid select high school students in paying for their post-secondary education. This year's scholarship is $500.

The submission deadline for the Union Colony Exchange Health Care Careers Scholarship must be postmarked by February 26, 2015. The winner will be selected by a panel of Union Exchange Club members and will be announced by March 31, 2015.

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicant must be:

  • A current resident of Weld County in Colorado.
  • A senior at a Weld County high school, or completed GED classes by the age of 19, by the time of submission of application to the Union Colony Exchange Club (February 26, 2015).
  • Planning to enter a health care or health care-related field; health care or health care-related field shall mean the professional work of a duly licensed health care careers practitioner; this includes, but is not limited to, nurses, laboratory scientists, pharmacists, physical therapist, speech therapists, occupational therapists, dietitians and bio-engineers (this does not include administrative services such as secretarial or sales careers).
  • Attending, or planning to attend, a post-secondary institution or health care careers training school.


  • Obtain school and parent/guardian signatures.
  • Include two letters of recommendation.
  • Two brief narratives, outlined below (between 250-500 words using APA standards).
  • Scholarship applications MUST be postmarked by February 26, 2015 to be considered. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

Greeley Rotary Club Scholarship Program

Application Form

Greeley Rotary Club scholarships are available for high school seniors. The scholarships are provided to encourage seniors to pursue post-secondary education at an accredited institution of their choice.

Scholarship Guidelines

High school seniors whose permanent residence is within the boundaries of Greeley/Evans School District 6.

Scholarships ranging from $500 - $1,500 will be awarded to help defray costs for the 2015-2016 academic year. All recipients must be enrolled in a post-secondary institution by summer or fall of 2015.

Selection Criteria:
Scholarship and academic achievement Participation in high school activities School honors or special recognition Community activities. “Service Above Self” Variety of academic and/or life experience, or excellence in a given area Evidence of leadership qualities or potential for success Exceptional conditions that speak to the character of the individual

Students who have received a Boettcher Scholarship will not be considered for this scholarship. Application Procedures Submit an application packet with the following information: Personal essay on your interests, life's goals, ambitions and hopes, and how the Rotary 4 Way Test factors into your life (approximately 500 words).

A completed Application Form. (Attach sheets if additional space is required.}

An official high school transcript including up to the first semester of your senior year. Transcripts should include your current grade point average (GPA).

A maximum of three letters of recommendation from high school teachers, counselors, or those persons with direct knowledge of your achievements. Letters may include those that were written for college applications and other related purposes. Letters of recommendation must not be from Greeley Rotary Club members.

The Greeley Rotary Club Scholarship Committee will choose students from the candidate pool to invite for an oral interview in April. Awardees will be selected at the close of the oral interviews and notified in writing by email as soon as awardees are selected. The financial awards will be forwarded directly to the awardees' respective colleges or universities, subject to evidence of their having been officially admitted by those institutions with evidence of enrollment with a student identification number.
